Built From the Ground Up

GEMS Civil (Galus Earthmoving, Maintenance & Services) was founded by Mark Galus on a simple belief: that professional earthworks shouldn't come with professional-grade excuses.

Over more than a decade of operating across Western Australia, Mark has built a reputation as a contractor who shows up, communicates clearly and delivers results. No grey areas on scope. No surprises on cost. No cutting corners on quality.

What started as a lean owner-operated outfit has evolved into a fully equipped commercial earthworks contractor, capable of taking on projects that demand precision equipment, experienced operators and a project management mindset.

Mark brings over ten years of hands-on experience across bulk earthworks, rural property maintenance, civil pad construction and underground services. He holds the tickets, operates the machinery and manages the jobs himself, which means quality control is always at ground level, not in an office three kilometres away.

His approach is straightforward: understand exactly what the client needs, give an honest assessment of what it takes, and then go and do it properly. That's what builds long-term relationships in this industry.

Our transportation capabilities mean we can mobilise plant and equipment efficiently across the region. If you're working on a project outside the metro area, we're experienced in regional site logistics and can factor that into your quote.
